My best friend has been having hard luck on the dating scene for a while. She is a beautiful girl, so I think maybe some guys are just intimidated by her. So recently she came up with a plan to at least try to get close to a guy. She was going to be a man for one night. When she went to the bar she was dressed to kill, and alone. I was actually in the bar, but we went in separately because sometimes big groups of women seem to scare guys off as well. Instead of sitting at the bar and waiting for a guy to approach her, she stood back and watched the guys for a minute.

When she saw a really good looking guy she made her move. She approached him and asked if she could buy him a drink. It took the guy by surprise, but I could tell from where I was that things seemed to be going well. She told me later that by getting the upper hand from the very beginning, it allowed her to stay in control the rest of the night. It seemed to turn him on that she wanted to take charge. She controlled the conversation and lead it around to his place. She asked if she could drive him home and she went home with him. She kept herself in control of the situation the entire night and it got her the results she wanted. She was able to find a guy that would not be scared off by her good looks, and he was not put off by her forward manner.
